However, Ethan has kept a secret all these years about what really happened the day Denny died. He struggles with this secret as his feelings for Maddie grows.
I really enjoyed this book. I think it was my favorite of all the books so far. I thought I had guessed the secret but was shocked when I learned what it really was once Ethan finally told Maddie the truth.
Very good read.

I enjoyed this book
While this book is sad and brings tears to your eyes, it's still a great book. Finally we get to know what happened to Ethans friend from his childhood.... and sometimes the truth will set you free from the pain and anger...most read
The book was too short. Unlike other books in this series, This book felt too rushed in many areas. The story was a good one to tell, it just could have been more developed.
Ethan McKinnon, an ex Navy SEAL, is a police officer in his hometown now. Madelyn Newton was his friend's little sister who always tagged along with Ethan and Denny. At Denny's death, she hated Ethan and avoided him at all costs until she hit a tree and he had to investigate the scene. Good read and well written.
This is another brother in the McKinnon clan and he will win your heart. Baggage can be hard to carry, but Eathan does just that. It's time to lose the baggage and live the life that is his to live. His girl is special and will win your heart as she releases the pain in hers! Don't miss this step in this series!
A short but sweet tale of wonderful romance. In book #1, Her Dakota Man, we met Logan, then in #2, Regis and Hawk. Then we see Sam and Summer, and here, Ethan and Maddie, very sweet. There is huge sadness in this short story as Maddie has never settled about how her brother, Ethan's best friend, died. Ethan moved on to be a Navy Seal and then cop, to fill his grieving heart. These two are meant to be together. Enjoy.
Book 4 is another good book in this series. Loved it and hard to put down. Flood was devastating but happiness prevailed. Next is Book 5. I can hardly wait to read it.
